Focus Ghana is looking to hire a Kitchen Manager
Duties:
- Procure materials, supplies, and ingredients according to need.
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders.
- Supervise the food preparation and cooking procedures.
- Hire and educate kitchen staff in assigned areas.
- Oversee stock levels and conduct weekly inventory evaluations.
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to set prices and modify menu items.
- Arrange work shifts for staff members.
- Keep all food items stored according to health and safety standards.
- Make certain the kitchen is tidy and orderly.
- Keep up with weekly and monthly expense reports.
- Performs weekly inventory checks.
- Collaborates with the restaurant manager concerning changes to menu items and pricing.
- Guarantees that food storage and preparation conform to health and safety standards.
- Keeps track of daily operational records.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Undergraduate Degree in Hospitality Management
- Having a professional qualification will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a comparable position within a healthcare or institutional environment.
- Understanding of nutrition and dietary recommendations tailored to healthcare
- Robust leadership and effective communication abilities
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in the food service industry
- Capability to operate in a high-speed setting and handle numerous tasks effectively.
- Skilled in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office
