POSITION: Sales Manager
Job Description
In your role as the Sales Manager for the Mining sector in West Africa, you will foster growth by establishing customer connections and uncovering new prospects. This position is entirely remote, since we do not maintain a physical office. You will work alongside the sales team, advocate for the Element brand, and frequently travel to engage with customers and assist at exhibitions.
Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
- Engage regularly with current customers to sustain robust relationships;
- Supervise sales operations for the Mining sector in the West Africa area;
- Regularly travel to meet with customers, directly attending to their needs and serving as the main contact to guarantee quick replies to questions, concerns, and requests;
- Market the Element brand via advertising campaigns and involvement in trade shows.
- Examine the market, strategize product usage, and collect information on existing equipment in accordance with ERP standards;
- Assist in the creation of the yearly sales budget, applying strategies in strategic planning, account management, and business development to achieve sales objectives and increase market share;
- Document sales and customer information in the CRM system, working closely with the sales team.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to guarantee seamless product delivery and customer contentment.
- Handle quotes, orders, and sales agreements in collaboration with the order desk and product support teams;
- Track customer receivables and pursue follow-ups when necessary;
- Spot potential sales prospects and suggest tactics for acquiring new clients;
- Commence product development initiatives driven by customer input and requirements.
- Give consistent updates to the Business Manager who is located in Portugal.
Requirements
We are seeking an individual who has:
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated achievements in global B2B sales;
- Background in technical sales, preferably in the mining sector;
- A Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline, or a corresponding credential;
- An enthusiastic, driven, and self-motivated approach, possessing excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities;
- Competence in both verbal and written English; familiarity with French is advantageous.
- Readiness to travel abroad for about 30-40% of the time;
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and other necessary sales tools, along with a desire to develop new skills;
- Familiarity with Incoterms regulations and global trade practices;
- Prior experience in the mining sector or knowledge of mining processes and equipment (preferred).
