POSITION: Plant Technician

Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Tarkwa for a Plant Technician. The Plant Technician will handle daily operations of the plant, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive upkeep. The technician will make sure that the plant runs safely and efficiently.
Duties:
- Supervising and managing plant activities.
- Aiding in the initiation, cessation, and functioning of facility machinery.
- Recognizing issues that occur and addressing them.
- Making certain that safety and environmental regulations and initiatives are diligently followed.
Developing and suggesting strategies for enhancing plant operations. - Conducting site evaluations and assessments.
- Carrying out preventive and maintenance activities.
- Monitoring gauges, dials, switches, alarms, and other indicators to verify that all equipment is functioning correctly.
- Onboarding new employees and providing cross-training for existing staff.
- Ensuring a tidy, safe workplace.
Qualifications Required
- Expertise in Plant Operations and Plant Maintenance
- Proficiency in Problem Resolution
- Experience in Proactive Maintenance
- Expertise in Maintenance and Repair activities
- Keen focus on details and adept problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to operate autonomously and cooperatively within a group.
- Technical diploma or applicable certification in plant management or upkeep
- Previous experience in a comparable position is beneficial.
