POSITION: Transport Officer
The Transport Officer oversees and coordinates the company’s transportation activities, guaranteeing efficiency, safety, and adherence to regulations. This position entails managing fleet upkeep, enhancing routes, supervising drivers, and keeping precise transport records to ensure seamless business operations.
Main Duties:
- Organize, manage, and supervise the daily transport and logistics activities.
- Make certain that vehicles are well-maintained, serviced, and comply with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Track fuel consumption, and vehicle costs, and introduce money-saving strategies.
- Enhance delivery and transport pathways to increase efficiency and minimize delays.
- Oversee drivers, allocate responsibilities, and guarantee compliance with company guidelines and traffic safety rules.
- Keep precise transportation records, such as vehicle logs, maintenance timelines, and journey reports.
- Address transportation-related problems, including breakdowns, accidents, and delays, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Make sure to adhere to government regulations regarding transportation, including permits and insurance obligations.
- Work together with internal teams and external suppliers to enhance transportation operations.
- Deliver reports and suggestions to management for enhancements in operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or credential in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing fleets, coordinating logistics, or overseeing transportation.
- Extensive understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and vehicle upkeep.
- Outstanding skills in organization, problem resolution, and decision-making.
- Capability to oversee and direct drivers and transportation personnel efficiently.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and vehicle management software.
- Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic setting.
