We’re seeking a Senior Associate – Project Operations. The chosen candidate will take charge of particular projects and assignments that enhance operational efficiency and assist in the operational establishment of new initiatives and programs.
You will report to the Manager of Project Operations and, as a member of our Operations Team, will have the opportunity to explore various functional and thematic areas while collaborating closely with colleagues from Operations, other teams within the Meliore Foundation, and our Network of partners.
The individual in this role must be self-motivated, receptive, and focused on solutions, possessing the capability to balance the consistent and compliant high-quality execution of projects with agility and flexibility. This position will not involve any line management duties at the start, but that may change later on.

Key Responsibilities
- Organize and execute particular projects and assignments that aid in establishing new initiatives focused on addressing climate, energy, and nature.
- Enhance organizational efficiency by pinpointing inefficiencies, streamlining processes, and fostering smooth collaboration among teams.
- Assist in solving intricate issues by utilizing expertise in operational best practices and robust project management abilities.
- Coordinate the creation, testing, and execution of new operational tools and processes, while overseeing and providing updates on their progress.
- Filling resource gaps on a temporary basis when necessary.
- Oversee the creation and presentation of briefings and training sessions.
- Keep a comprehensive account of progress on designated tasks while being mindful of the larger context, guaranteeing that work is completed according to organizational standards.
- Cultivate connections and trust with coworkers to promote effective teamwork and attain outcomes. Ensure stakeholders are updated and expectations are handled.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Manager – Project Operations, Operations Director, Director of Organisational Development, and COO.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in non-profit operations and/or project management, encompassing various operational fields (e.g. grants, procurement, MEL, finance, budgeting, IT, governance).
- Keen interest in operations and organizational growth, with a commitment to enhancing efficiency and assisting others.
- Outstanding focus on precision and detail, proactive in foreseeing obstacles, with a practical solutions-driven method to addressing issues.
- A strong degree of self-motivation and the capability to operate in a flexible and dynamic way, with little supervision at times.
- The capability to handle deadlines, navigate uncertainty and change, and produce high-quality results within challenging time limits.
- The willingness to contribute selflessly within a trustworthy international network of colleagues.
- Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in both written and spoken English, which is our primary working language; knowing additional languages is a bonus.
- The ability to be versatile and adaptable is essential for success in a dynamic and diverse work setting, collaborating across time zones through platforms like Zoom, Slack, and email (Google Workspace).
