POSITION: Inventory Supervisor

Electrical Switchgear Limited (ESL) is an electrical panel manufacturing firm based in Ghana. Also, We design and manufacture electrical low-voltage main distribution and control panels for industrial, commercial, and residential use.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The inventory supervisor’s primary responsibility is to manage inventory effectively. The inventory supervisor is largely responsible for material management activities such as receiving supplies, commodities, items, and so on and ensuring their right distribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a record of receipts and issuances of items leaving the warehouse to guarantee correctness and completeness.
• To be involved in the reconciling of physical stock with the system.
• Ensure that commodities are arranged in an orderly manner inside the stock placement system so that they may be readily kept and retrieved whenever needed.
• Similarly, he or she ensures that the stocks are physically safeguarded in the warehouse.
• To perform the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock regularly, working closely with the authorized staff members
• Supervise the offloading operation and subsequent arrangement of merchandise, material, etc., and consignment so that it may be conveniently accessed and identified.
• To ensure the accurate and timely value of the inventory, and to be involved in guiding and supervising procedures related to offloading, packing, and unpacking
• To create periodic reports on warehouse activities such as consignments received, quantities received, points of pickup and dispatch, stacking number, outstanding balance, and so on.
• To deliver the best service to both existing and new clients, ensuring that each customer is satisfied.
• Supervise the work of junior workers in the unit.
• Maintaining ISO documents and records
• Carry out any additional duties as specified.

OSHA RESPONSIBILITIES

• Knowledge and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures.
• Follow workplace safety protocols, rules, and directions. Identify and report hazards.
• Wear adequate PPE for work at all times.
• Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment, where applicable

Required Skill or Experience

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Good knowledge of the processes used in keeping records of purchases, receipts and payments, and maintaining general supplies.
• Good understanding of the foundations of inventory control
• Numerical ability to conduct quick and accurate arithmetic computations with a calculator
• Proficiency with computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, email, and database software.
• Skilled at using computerized inventory control systems and supervising team members.
• Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions
• Organizational skills.
• Good judgment.

• Honest and trustworthy.
• respectful and polite.
• Punctual and flexible.
• Demonstrates sound work ethics.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, supply chain management, or a similar subject.
• Three (3) years of experience in a similar job.
