Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Cost Controller at Camp Tsatse Resort in Big Ada. The Cost Controller will be in charge of activities such as cost control, accounting, and financial analysis to guarantee that the resort’s costs are managed efficiently.
Duties and responsibilities
- Work with all department leaders to guarantee optimal profitability.
- Provide a critical evaluation of all budgets and cost estimates
- Evaluate all incoming items, resources, and services to get the greatest pricing.
- Maintain vendor/service provider connections.
- Maintain an acute awareness of market changes that could effect resource costs.
- Keep up with new vendors and possible cost-cutting collaborations.
- Analyze invoices to check that the right products/services were received at the intended cost.
- Collaborate with department heads to strategize how to reduce waste.
- Show a thorough awareness of the interdependence of cost drivers.
- Understand the full scope of the business and how productivity affects profitability.
- Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels while maintaining quality.
- Create and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting strategies.
- Present new plans and assessments to stakeholders in a convincing way.
- Educate and persuade stakeholders to gain their buy-in and cooperation.
- Implement explicit cost-saving plans with timetables and assessment goals.
Qualifications
- Cost Control and Accounting Skills
- Analytical Skills
- Finance and Cost Management expertise
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar profession.
