POSITION: Business Development Manager – Ghana

Your role:

  • Demonstrate your knowledge and experience with indirect sales channels.
  • Manage all distributors in Ghana and push their sales performance.
  • Plan and carry out all digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM, marketing automation, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Develop and expand your social presence.
  • Gather market intelligence on the Compressed air industry in Ghana.
  • Conduct combined visits with all appointed distributors in Ghana.
  • Generate leads and possibilities for distributors.
  • Proactively find and research possible clients and business possibilities using a variety of channels, including market research, outbound calls, and social media.
  • Engage in meaningful conversations with prospects to better understand their needs and articulate the value proposition of our products/services.
  • Leads are evaluated and qualified using specific criteria to ensure they are in line with the company’s target market and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide required support throughout the sales process, including proposal preparation, negotiation, and finalization.
  • Maintain accurate and current records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration with other departments, such as marketing and product development, is essential for staying up to date on new offerings and market trends.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) for lead generation, qualification, and sales targets.
  • Track and follow up on sales campaigns.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.

To succeed, you will require

  • Qualification in engineering or a related field gained via experience, with a degree level education preferred.
  • Strong strategic and conceptual capabilities to support and grow indirect sales networks.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and marketing objectives, as well as strong commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of compressor technology is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the local market, industry, and trends to chart a strategic course to success.
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused
  • Ability to accept challenges, persevere in the face of adversity, and show a growth mentality.
  • A strong desire to foster an accountability and ownership culture.
  • Encourage collaboration and instill team spirit throughout the organization.
  • Role models integrity and behave in the best interest of people and the company.
  • Ideally situated in Accra, Ghana.
