POSITION: Senior Backend Developer (Web & Mobile)

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Backend Developer at Kofa, you will design and lead the development of the unseen force that powers our complete energy ecosystem. Your knowledge will define the digital synapses that fire across our network, managing the intricate dance of energy distribution, battery management, and user interactions.

What You Will Do:

• Architect and execute scalable backend systems for Swap & Go platform. Design and develop high-performance APIs to connect mobile app, online platform, and IoT devices.
• Create and improve innovative algorithms for battery tracking, energy demand forecasting, and network optimization.
• Create safe, scalable payment systems and user authentication mechanisms.
• Architect and implement complex data pipelines to evaluate large volumes of energy usage data. Lead database design and optimization efforts to accommodate millions of transactions throughout our increasing network.
• Mentor junior developers and give technical leadership for the backend team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate backend development and overall product strategy.
• Implement and maintain the best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in technical decision-making and long-term technological roadmap planning.

What You Will Need:

• A minimum of five years of professional expertise in backend development.
• A degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related discipline
• Expertise in backend programming languages like Python, PHP, Java, or Node.js
• Extensive knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and performance optimization
• Strong experience building and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and serverless architectures
• A thorough awareness of software design patterns, architectural best practices, and scalability considerations
• Experience managing development teams and coaching junior developers.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and expertise implementing safe systems.
• Proficient in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using Agile techniques and project management technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to optimize complex systems.
• Excellent communication abilities and the ability to convey complicated technological topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Passionate about clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Bonus: expertise in IoT systems, energy management platforms, or fintech applications.
