Law Reform Commission Invites Job Applications
POSITION: Executive Director
Purpose of the Job
- Providing strategic leadership, technical expertise, and administrative guidance to ensure the commission fulfills its mandate.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Facilitate the development and execution of policies for the commission
- Ensure smooth coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the commission’s programs
- Provide expert advice on legal reform matters to the commission
- Oversee the efficient management of the commission’s resources (human, material, and financial)
- Act as a representative for the commission at local and international levels regarding legal reform
- Foster collaboration and establish relationships with government and other stakeholders • Present regular reports on the commission’s activities
- Prepare and present the annual budget for commission approval
- Implement the commission’s performance management policy
- Fulfill the role of secretary to the Commission
Qualification and experience required
- Must have been admitted to the Ghana Bar
- A minimum of 12 years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Possess a Master’s Degree in a relevant field
Abilities and Expertise
- Research experience in-laws
- Proficient in writing reports on the development of laws
- Vast knowledge of the law
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Extensive leadership, networking, monitoring, and management skills
- Familiarity with relevant financial and labour laws and regulations
- Proficient in conflict management
- Excellent ICT skills
- Meticulous attention to accuracy and detail
- Demonstrates integrity, diplomacy, and negotiation abilities
Location: Accra
