POSITION: Stewardship Officer

Missions

  • Manage training programs, generate awareness, and provide technical assistance to various stakeholders in accordance with the goals established.
  • Allow for the reinforcement of stakeholders’ capacity to maximize the usage and effectiveness of phytosanitary products while reducing the possible dangers associated with their application.
  • Identify needs and develop a training and communication strategy with technical culture managers and crop centers.
  • Develop and track the “Training” budget using Superior.

Responsibilities

  • Define the “Training” team and action plans (using the culture centers’ strategy).
  • Manage and coordinate activities with “field” teams and partners.
  • Ensure the preparation, implementation, and ongoing improvement of training materials and training.
  • Lead training workshops to raise awareness about the safe use of phytosanitary products for local resource persons.
  • Coordinate and manage the NGUSO PAPA training program on behalf of end users.
  • Participate in the creation of our plan for handling empty packaging and obsolete products/packaging recycling.
  • Discover innovative approaches for the future.

Job Profile

  • BAC +5 (master’s degree in agriculture or agronomy) with at least five years of professional experience.

Performance criteria:

  • Organizational rigour
  • Ability to anticipate and communicate effectively.

Technical competences

  • Technical issues of major crops (vegetables, cereals, cocoa, industrial plantations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of risks and benefits associated with the usage of phytosanitary products.

Behavioural Skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Autonomous and responsible.
  • Proactive and organized.
