POSITION: Technical Manager
Job Summary
The Technical Manager will be in charge of all field operations, and technical matters on roadside equipment, devices, and software, overseeing technical staff, and coordinating with management on the aforementioned. The Technical Manager will be responsible to the Managing Director of the organization.
Job Description
- Create an efficient technical department to maintain high equipment uptime;
- Work with local authorities and installation businesses to install and maintain roadside equipment.
- Ensure that (GSA) approvals and calibration certifications for technical devices are valid at all times.
- Organize toolbox meetings and product training for field service engineers.
- Handle support requests efficiently.
- Reproduce technical difficulties and collaborate with international colleagues to resolve them.
- Collaborate with the QA department to develop and enforce procedures, including adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role;
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, information technology, or related discipline. A Master’s degree would be a benefit.
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and TCP/IP networks, including DNS, VPN, and firewalls;
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring diagrams; \Experience with road-side equipment, such as CCTV cameras and traffic controllers, is advantageous.
- Demonstrates hands-on approach;
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills;
- Motivates team members to accomplish deadlines;
- Demonstrates autonomy, flexibility, and a focus on results.
