Job Description.

This is an individual contributor post for a seasoned professional who is responsible for solving complicated operational problems with specific clients while also adopting a broad view to identify client operational performance improvement possibilities and the deployment of new solutions. This person operates as a functional specialist, focused on developing and expanding client relationships, and works independently with limited supervision and support in the most challenging cases.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison for an assigned client(s) in Sub-Saharan Africa, with an emphasis on West Africa, proactively identifying processing efficiencies, assisting with service changes, and providing system enhancement support.
  • Considered a functional expert for specific clients’ processing and operational business.
  • Contribute to and supervise the implementation of a cluster or subregional national strategy, operational initiatives, special projects, and client-driven continuous improvement programs.
  • Identify and assess processing issues that have an impact on clients, continuously convey situational status and resolution, provide advice on SLA performance both internally and externally, and design improvement plans to solve persistent client concerns.
  • Support the quarterly business enhancement releases, as well as all other Visa mandates and requirements.
  • Conduct regular proactive operational assessments with specified clients.
  • Work with your allocated Account Executives to uncover further business prospects.
  • Identify options that can improve processing efficiency and income for both the client and Visa.
  • Advocate Visa Value Added Services (VAS) by discovering possibilities for cross/upselling to benefit the client.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with important internal and external client contacts to ensure operational business continuity, performance improvement, and the implementation of country priorities.
  • Actively contribute to the Team’s effectiveness by supporting and cooperating with colleagues, as well as providing coverage during absences.
  • Guide other employees in the employment area.
  • Influence others within the job sub-function on practices, processes, and policies.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Product and Solutions team counterparts to understand sales goals and provide help to fulfill organizational objectives.

This is a hybrid role. Hybrid employees might spend time both remotely and in the office. Employees in hybrid jobs are expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week (decided by leadership/site), with a general goal of being in the office 50% or more of the time, depending on business demands.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of successful client-facing experience in the Card Payments Technology business.
  • A bachelor’s or equivalent graduate degree, particularly in computer science or information technology.
  • Expertise in electronic card payment industry systems, Visa systems (including authorization and clearing systems), client connectivity, and so on.
  • Has a thorough understanding of payments technology products and services and how they affect clients’ businesses.
  • Excellent customer attention, client assistance, and client relationship management abilities
  • Strong organizational, conceptual, and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong execution focus.
  • Proven ability to build good working connections with employees and management at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to keep a polite and professional approach in all situations.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM technologies.
