POSITION: Sales Executive
As a Sales Executive, you will manage leisure, corporate, and group clients within the Sales & Marketing department. You may also collaborate with local and international travel agents, tour operators, conference organizers, and DMCs to book individual and group trips.
Responsible for managing their allocated group of agencies and following up to achieve budgeted revenues in the group and travel trade categories through existing clients and key prospects.
Assisting and cooperating with the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing to achieve the objectives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Solicit existing and future clients and follow up on established accounts regularly, whether by phone, correspondence, or human contact.
- Set up appointments and conduct personal sales calls, telemarketing, and site inspections with all existing and potential corporate commercial accounts.
- Follow up on lost business and bring information to the attention of the department boss.
- Negotiate with all consumers and send out offers/contracts for individual and group businesses.
- Monitor sales and marketing outcomes and offer corrective steps as needed.
- Entertain client decision-makers in the hotel’s food and beverage outlets and participate in promotional events with them.
- Update guests on the newest hotel developments and notify hotel management of any changes in the customer profile.
- Participate in the preparation of sales action plans, attend sales meetings, and develop new ideas such as unique packages, programs, and promotional activities carried out by the sales department and/or F&B.
- Participate in sales training programs, trade fairs/shows, sales blitzes, and field trips as assigned by the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Keep up to speed on the latest hotel developments, such as all activities, promotions, and rates for the hotel and other chain hotels.
- Keep department leaders informed of any changes to the client profile.
- Prepare reports for each sales call, including corporate information, comments, requirements, client complaints, and so on.
- Cover assigned accounts in a specific segment or geographic area, and visit them at least twice a year.
- Prepare a weekly activity report that includes sales call reports, site inspections, family excursions, new agencies, meetings, entertainment, and other gatherings attended during the week and present it to the Sales Director.
- Complete any additional work assigned by the Department head or Division head within the time frame specified.
- Cross-selling to other Kempinski Hotels in the area and globally.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- A degree in marketing, hotel management, public relations, or a related profession is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a sales position, particularly in a 4/5-star hotel.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Strong computer abilities, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
