Star Ghana Foundation is looking for a consultant to do a study on the perceptions of Fulanis and Fulani communities in Northern Ghana. The consultant will contribute to the development of its programming on the integration of Fulbe into Ghana’s sociopolitical and economic life, particularly in northern Ghana, by researching Fulani attitudes, views, and norms.

The study will look at the socioeconomic backdrop of Fulanis in northern Ghana, as well as the key barriers to their access to economic resources, social services, and participation in decision-making and execution at the community and district levels. It will examine the attitudes and experiences of Ghana’s major ethnic groupings toward Fulanis.

The research will look at respondents’ knowledge, experiences, beliefs, and values, as well as their views about Fulanis.

Qualifications & Experience

The Preferred Consultant will meet the following specifications.

  • Have at least a master’s degree in a related discipline and a good foundation in research.
  • Understand the subject matter of the research.
  • Demonstrable record of experience in comparable assignments
  • Strong ability to identify and engage key persons and/or institutions that may be required for the successful execution of the assignment.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

Timelines / Duration of Engagement

The task will be finished in January 2025. The consultant is required to employ a total of 15 days within this period to accomplish the task.

Location: Ghana.
