POSITION: Accountant – Deputy Controller
Responsible for managing daily reporting functions for all entities in Ghana.
Knowledge and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
DAILY REPORTING.
- Summary of the Daily Report.
- Inventory review (QV).
- Bank Reconciliation
- DSO&DPO (Ageing)
- Mass balance review
- Daily sales report for management.
- Assist commercial teams with cost/margin reviews.
- Assistance to the Finance Controller
Month-End Reporting:
- Review of Fixed Cost
- Review of COGS, Varex, and Sales
- Loading additional information/statistical data into HFM (headcount, market share, service stations, terminal capacity, airport capacity, etc.).
Budget and Planning:
- Consolidate the budget numbers from the team and load into HFM.
- Full profit and loss budget; analysing budget data and assumptions from the team.
- Load other budget information into HFM (headcount and other statistics).
CAPEX Activities:
Reconcile the main ledger (finance module) to the sub-ledger (capex module): PUMAFIN versus CAPEX. recon
Loading new capex in Kissflow for approval. Conducting DCF evaluation and overview.
Marginal Analysis:
- Margin Analysis by Customers
Margin reconciliation and Flash Reporting:
- Weekly volume, flash loading.
- Preparing the flash loading Excel file.
- Flash loading into HFM
Capabilities
- Ability to define, convey, and ensure that the appropriate unit’s agreed-upon business objectives are met.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills, including the ability to clearly present complex problems.
- Capability to plan and organise mid to long-term
- Ability to analyse and solve complicated challenges to obtain the right outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen, resourcefulness, and lateral thinking skills
- Ability to negotiate, interact, and attain goals.
- Financial and analytical skills.
QUALIFICATION
- First degree in business administration, accounting, or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of expertise in finance controlling.
Key Relationships and Department Overview:
- Internal: Finance Manager and Finance Controller
- External: Auditor stakeholder.
