POSITION: Maintenance Planner

GGBPLC runs two locations in five drink categories: stout, lager, RTD, non-alcoholic malt, and mainstream spirits, as well as spirit distribution.

Ghana’s economy is expected to grow at a mid to high single-digit rate in a driven environment.

GGBPLC is undergoing substantial change, particularly in terms of accountability, quality maintenance standards, supply planning, cost reduction, and efficiency. In accordance with its aims, GGBPLC will develop its employees and create an atmosphere that attracts and maintains the best talent.

As the Supply function, we will produce high-quality items in a safe environment at cost-effective rates, on schedule and without faults.

The purpose of the function

  • Work at T1 and T2 levels to effectively manage the Work Planning and Control business processes.
  • Effectively manage and optimise internal and external maintenance resources, including time and material.
  • Interpret and analyse data, and take action to improve asset care practices and performance.
  • Engage and mentor operational teams across business sectors to prioritize and own asset care. Work planning and scheduling key performance indicators are managed and shared, and action plans for improvement are agreed upon.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the area’s maintenance regulatory criteria.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Leaders and Craft teams to identify plant underperformance and support improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing SAP data integrity in relation to plant and equipment structures, maintenance plans, task lists, and work orders for the business area(s) of responsibility in compliance with Diageo Work Planning and Scheduling requirements.
  • Collaborate with Asset Care Leaders and Technicians to ensure that work requests receive proper technical review and planning prior to scheduling work.
  • Engage and mentor store teams to enable effective and efficient planning through task kitting in accordance with Diageo’s Work Planning and Scheduling requirements.
  • Support and energize the implementation of the MMS Asset Care strategy and practice in the business area(s) of responsibility with equipment owners, asset care technicians, and operators.
  • Lead weekly Asset Care coordinated planning meetings to provide scheduled maintenance requirements, performance reporting, and agreement on improvement activities with collaborators.
  • Support Daily Operational Review meetings are held to report on Asset Care performance and to assist compliance and performance improvements.
  • Prioritize and reschedule any scheduled task that has not been completed.
  • Consistently adhere to leader standards and establish weekly maintenance programs.
  • Optimise the use of resource time and materials.
  • Continuously strive for the next level of performance. Be ambitious with action planning and delivery.
  • Develop team morale, recognize exceptional performance, and take appropriate action to rectify underperformance as necessary.
  • Have proper behavioural safety chats – comfortable challenging one another and visitors.
  • Demonstrate self-awareness and your personal development strategy.
  • Contribute to improving your own expertise and experience for the benefit of yourself, your team, and Diageo.
  • Prepare and complete your own P4G documentation. Be open to feedback and learn from mistakes. Qualifications:

Entry-level requirements: abilities and experience.

HND in engineering with 5 years planning/scheduling experience, or first degree in engineering with 3 years of working experience.

Crucial

  • Experienced in data analysis, use of applications (excel, word, etc.) and business systems (SAP, Harford, etc.)
  • Experienced in a manufacturing /maintenance environment, good interpersonal skills both written and verbal, root cause problems solving skills

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of SAP, Harford
  • Hnd/First degree electrical/mechanical
  • Excellence in Supply Chain
  • Understands and uses MMS principles tools and techniques
