Position: WAREHOUSE MANAGER

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The position holder is in charge of ensuring the efficient functioning of all warehouses throughout the group’s companies, executing inventory targets, managing tracking systems, and serving as a liaison with other TAGG divisions.

The role also includes managing inventory and optimizing operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement warehousing strategies that support the group’s overall goals and objectives. To coordinate the activities of TAGG’s numerous inventory units while ensuring compliance with all inventory plans.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory management activities such as receiving, storage, and distribution to assure accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
  • Streamline warehouse procedures and workflows to increase efficiency, lower costs, and boost production.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and direct the warehouse workforce, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management for PPA, ESL, and ASL.
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee that items are stored according to PPA, ESL, and ASL business standards as well as client requirements.
  • Use warehouse management systems and other technological solutions to increase operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Create reports on warehouse performance across all subsidiaries, evaluate data, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Communicate with the General Manager regarding current inventory and any prospective order difficulties.
  • To take stock in PPA, ESL, and ASL and confirm periodic stock on a regular basis while working closely with specified staff members.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory control procedures in the plant, including cycle test programs and receipt verification, and update the facility profile as needed.
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees from PPA, ESL, and ASL, as well as other staff, to ensure that business objectives are reached.
  • Create a culture in which all inventory-related safety programs are up to date, monitored, and enforced.
  • Maintaining ISO documents and records
  • Carry out any additional duties that may be assigned.

OSHA RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Awareness of and adherence to all TAGG OHS&E procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures, rules, and directions.
  • Risk Assessment
  • Hazard Identification and Reporting
  • Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment, where applicable
  • Ensure that all health and safety requirements are followed, and put measures in place to keep the workplace safe.
  • Quality Management System Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the department’s processes are producing the anticipated results.
  • Reporting on the performance of the quality management system and on chances for improvement, particularly in management

Required Skill or Experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good knowledge of the processes for preserving purchase, receipt, and payment records, as well as maintaining general supplies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven expertise with warehouse management, ideally in a multi-company setting.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities, as well as the ability to encourage and inspire a diverse team.
  • A good understanding of the foundations of inventory control
  • Numerical ability to execute fast and accurate arithmetic computations with a calculator.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, email, and database software.
  • Ability to operate a computerized inventory control system, if applicable.
  • The ability to plan and supervise the labour of others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, supply chain management, or a similar subject.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management.
