ROLE: English Teacher / Music Teacher

The school requires properly qualified individuals for immediate employment as follows: English/Music Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching general musical styles.
  • Teaching classical piano, both practical and theoretical.
  • Singing lessons for students ranging from beginners to expert levels.
  • Incorporating musical instruments and movement into lessons.
  • Planning and implementing an instructional program and lesson plans.
  • Getting pupils ready for school concerts and organized music activities.
  • Preparing students for practicals and tests.
  • Students are inspired and motivated to join after-school music organizations.
  • Developing relationships and coaching pupils.

Qualifications & Experience

  • The minimum requirement for each post is a university degree or equivalent.
  • License to teach as an academic (state required).
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Choral pedagogy.
  • Ability to set and grade examination papers.

Bediako Memorial Institute invites applications from interested and competent people for the position of RME Teacher.

Bediako Memorial Institute Limited was established in Ghana in 2001 as a private, limited-liability basic school.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2002, the school began operations, marking the start of a long, tough path to achieve excellence in basic education. The school began with a small number of students enrolled from Nursery 1 through Primary 6. The school, which had approximately 50 students at the time, now has a total enrollment of 1,260 students, ranging from Nursery 1 to JHS 3.

One aspect in particular has had a big impact on our school’s success. This element represents our common vision. Since September 2002, we have committed to a distinct vision that guides management and employee decisions and actions. We evaluate our choices and behaviors in light of our long-term goals.
