2023 UBD Scholarship Program

Applications are open for international students to apply for the University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship Program for the 2023 academic session. The Brunei Darussalam Scholarship program is fully-funded. Interested international students are hereby encouraged to apply for their Master’s degree programs.

Brunei University is among the highest-ranked universities in the World. The 2023 UBD scholarship program will cover all expenses.

Also, there are no application fees. Moreover, applicants are not required to submit IELTS/TOEFL test results. Thus, international students can study at the University of Brunei without IELTS.

Benefits Of 2023 Fully-Funded University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship Program

As mentioned earlier, the University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship program is a Fully Funded Scholarship. Therefore, all interested International Students, as well as Domestic Students, should take advantage of this opportunity. Hence, the University will cover all the expenses including:

• To begin with, applicants’ Tuition Fees Waived
• Secondly, applicants will receive a living allowance of BND 500.00 per month for three (3) years
• Also, applicants will be provided with an On-campus Accommodation for three (3).
• Moreover, applicants will be given a One Round Trip Economy Class Air Ticket. This will offer from their home country after accepting the scholarship and to their home country after completing their studies.
• Lastly, allowances for Field Research will be offered (BND 1000.00 for Arts and Humanities, as well as BND 2000.00 for Science candidates)

Who Qualifies For the 2023 Fully-Funded University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship Program?

• Firstly, the UBD Scholarship is open to all qualified and interested international applicants including applicants from Brunei.
• Secondly, the Scholarship is available to study for master’s as well as Ph.D. Degree Programs.
• Thirdly, applicants must have a First Class Bachelors Degree for the master’s Degree Program
• Also, applicants must have a master’s degree for the Ph.D. Degree Program.
• Last but not least, applicants must have high-quality and impactful research proposals.
• Lastly, applicants must be fit to pursue studies in their area of choice.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR THE 2023 UBD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Documents

• To begin with, applicants must have a certified copy of a Brunei identification card or international passport
• Secondly, applicants must have certified copies of academic certificates [O Level, A-Level, HND, etc], including university transcripts (where applicable) as well as English proficiency qualifications [IELTS, TOEFL, BEC, etc]
• However, applicants who do not have an IELTS. Must submit and upload English Proficiency Language Certificate
• Moreover, when applicants are asked for Motivation Letter, they should make and upload Motivation Letter for Scholarship Application (2022)
• Important Notice For International Applicants: Applicants must have a security clearance letter from the country of origin
• Also, for applicants working in the private sector and Government sector (exemption to those working at the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religious Affairs): they must submit a letter of permission from the employer
• Again, applicants must have a certified English translation. It must be submitted for document that is not in the English language (excluding Bahasa Melayu)
• Afterward, applicants will be able to download a PDF version of their filled application form upon successful submission.
• Moreover, for Brunei Government employees, their printed application forms must be submitted via the respective Ministry.
• Hence, applicants are reminded to click ‘SUBMIT’ once they have completed the application. Applicants must submit their applications before the closing date for applications.
• Again, once they have submitted their online application, they are not required to submit any hardcopy. Therefore, Only  INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS  are permitted to send certified true copies of their academic certificates by post to :

Brunei Darussalam’.

Hence, applicants must quote their OASys Application Code on the envelope.
