Utrecht University International Students Excellence Scholarship – Study In Netherlands

International students who wish to complete their education at Utrecht University in the Netherlands can now submit applications for the Excellence program, which will fund their stay there.

Scholarship Details:

Outstanding students who are not qualified for aid through the Dutch system of study grants and loans are given these scholarships. The scholarships include a monthly payment of €1,000 in addition to paying the tuition. Scholarship advantages:

The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship may be given as follows:

• either the tuition cost or the tuition fee plus the necessary income for a year tied to a study-related residence visa as established by the IND (Immigration and Naturalization Service).
• For two-year master’s programs, the scholarship may be renewed for the second year.

Nationalities eligible:

This award is open to students who are not EAs or EEAs.

Qualification Standards:

You must fulfill the requirements listed below to be qualified for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship:

• You must be in the top 10% of your graduating class, according to rule number 1.
• You must not be in possession of an EU/EEA passport and be ineligible for financial aid under the Dutch study grant and loan system.
• You have to finish your secondary education and/or bachelor’s degree abroad of the Netherlands.
• You need to have applied for a master’s program abroad that will begin on September 1, 2023. Not all television shows take part.

Submitting an application:

Non-EU/EEA students will have the chance to apply for one Utrecht Excellence Scholarship beginning on November 1 after submitting an application (or applications) for a UES-qualifying master’s program before the specified deadline. The UES application(s) will be visible on the dashboard of your OSIRIS Online Application account.

Funding

The scholarships are funded by contributions from Utrecht University alumni and the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship Fund, which was founded by the university.
