University of Oldenburg Global PROMOS Internship Awards

German students can apply for the DAAD-funded “PROMOS Scholarship for Internships Abroad” at Oldenburg University.

Internships last 6–6 months. All majors can apply for internship scholarships outside the EU. The DAAD scholarship program encourages students to go abroad for short periods.

The 1973-founded University of Oldenburg offers many topics and academic options. Oldenburg students learn more about their fields.

Why apply?

This initiative funds internships in non-European countries. The DAAD program PROMOS 1 grants the International Student Office (ISO) of the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg grants for:

• study visits (1 to 6 months)
• internships (6 weeks to 6 months)
• language courses (3 weeks to 6 months)
• and specialized courses (5 days to 6 weeks).

2023 NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY ASEAN EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility?

• Students from Germany qualify.
• Courses: Internship abroad.

Conditions for eligibility:

• German Students: Students equivalent to German nationals under Section 8 (1)(2ff) and Section 8 (2), (2a), and (3), BAföG
• Non-German students and graduates who want to graduate from a German university (stays in the student’s native country are not allowed).
• Candidates must want to intern in any nation except Iceland, Croatia, Lichtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, and the EU.
• Students without public funding receive scholarships.

Scholarships

German students interning abroad will receive scholarships from the University of Oldenburg. The DAAD’s PROMOS program standards will set scholarship amounts and funding periods.

Documentation:

The International Office (Ms. Tina Grummel) requires the following documents with the application:

• Application Form
• Motivation letter: (max. two pages; German or English)
• CV
• Current Record Transcript
• Host organization confirmation
• School confirmation
• Enrollment certificate
• Volunteering/extracurricular activities

Eligibility:

Apply by April 15, 2023, to Ann-Kristin Schuling (ann-kristin.schuling@uol.de) for a UK internship in 2023.

English:

Candidates must demonstrate language ability in the internship country. For instance, TOEFL, Language Center, or Abitur certificates.
