Ghanaian reggae and dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. popularly known as Shatta Wale in Showbiz has declared his support for the Porcupine Warriors, Asante Kotoko Sporting Club via a twitter post.
This decision made by the CEO of Shatta Movement Empire was influenced by the appointment of Dr. Kofi Abban, CEO of Rigworld Group as a board member of the Asante Kotoko club.
Shatta Wale refers to Dr. Kofi Abban as his Godfather and since his Godfather is now a board member of the club, he is now supporting the club too including his fans with full Vim.
Shatta Wale’s Godfather, Dr Kofi Abban was honoured by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to be part of the newly-constituted board of directors of the football club. He was named last week by the Asantehene.
Some months ago, Shatta Wale posted a picture of himself wearing a Hearts of Oak Jersey showing support for them. Now, with this new update in their rivals’ board, it’s obvious that Hearts of Oak has lost one influential supporter and it may not please them in a way.
In a twitter post, Shatta Wale made his declaration in the caption as he congratulated his Godfather with a picture of him as a board member.
