African dancehall king has showed his appreciation to music goddess Beyoncé for believing in his talent after the official release of the visuals of her internationally hailed “Already” track.
In July 2019, Beyoncé released an album she calls “The Gift”. The album featured a good number of African musicians of which our very own, Shatta Wale was included. Beyoncé featured Ghana’s Shatta Wale and Major Lazer on the “Already” track. The song has gained a lot of international recognition. Few weeks ago a thriller of “The Gift” album’s visuals popped up on social media. Fans of the dancehall act looked forward to the “Black is King” movie.
Finally, the “Black is King” album has been released. After its release, the local-champion-turned-global-star took to his official Twitter page to thank Beyoncé for giving him the opportunity to display his talent to the world. He called her queen and thanked her for believing in his talent and for giving him the platform to share his good message to the world. “God will forever bless you”, he affectionately wrote.
Prior to the official release of her movie, Beyoncé revealed that, she journeyed to countries like Ghana and South Africa to film parts of the movie. Ghanaian dancers like Dancegodlloyd, Quables, Afrobeast and Randykotey were also spotted in the Already visuals.
Since the release of the movie, the likes of Sarkodie, Delay, Fella Makafui and Stonebwoy have hailed the African dancehall act for putting Ghana on the map.
