Saskatchewan’s Top 3 Immigration Programs | Canada Immigration Pathways

Why do so many Canadian PRs choose to move to Saskatchewan? It is one of the most popular provincial programs in Canada as a whole. Why? In our article today, we’ll find out what they are and describe the most important parts of the top 3 PR programs for this province (SINP).

Saskatchewan has a lot of programs, and each one has its own sub-streams. It is one of the most active provincial immigration programs, with the most ways for people to come to this province and live there.

  • International Skilled Worker and its sub-streams.
  • Skilled Worker who already has a work permit.
  • Agriculture worker with some skills and a valid work permit.
  • Subcategory of projects in the hospitality sector.
  • Part of the Long Haul Truck Driver Project.
  • Pilot with Hard-to-Fill Skills.
  • Pathway for Talent Tech.
  • Healthcare workers from other countries.
  • Jobs that are in demand.
  • SINP Entrepreneur stream is for people from outside the province who want to invest in the province to get PR.
  • A program for international student graduates called “International Graduate Entrepreneur.”

Saskatchewan’s Top 3 Immigration Programs

In this article, we’ll talk about our top three programs for this province. In particular, we’ll talk about:

  1. Tech talent pathway
  2. SINP Entrepreneur
  3. International Skilled Worker sub-stream with family ties

1. Talent Tech pathway (non-Express Entry option)

You’ll need a job offer from an eligible Saskatchewan employer in a tech or innovation field, such as computer and IT managers, electrical and electronics engineers, computer engineers, cyber security specialists, web designers (programmers and developers), database analysts, and administrators, software designers, computer programmers and developers, network technicians, user support technicians, and IT technicians.

In Saskatchewan, some of these jobs are regulated, so you must be qualified and assessed to take the certification exam to be accepted under this NOC code/occupation.

We like that this program doesn’t require a language test if you’ve worked for the employer in the province for at least six months. Skilled immigration PR program. If you had an LMIA work permit, a PGWP, a Spousal Open Work Permit, or a nationality-specific LMIA-exempt work permit, you would already be working for the employer.

This job requires a year of experience in the last five years from anywhere in the world. This or another job experience counts. You don’t have to wait a year if you’ve worked for the employer for six months in the province. You may have worked there while attending a provincial public post-secondary school full-time.

2. SINP Entrepreneur Program

Here are some of the unique things we like about the program:

  • Can work with another SINP applicant to buy a business, start a new business, or go into business with a Canadian partner in a joint venture. Each partner or applicant is judged on their own merits, but they still have to meet the minimum requirements and all eligibility criteria, like going on an exploratory trip, etc.
  • There is no need to take a language test unless you want to get extra points for your EOI profile.
  • If one applicant doesn’t get invited or finish their business performance agreement with the province, the other partner has the chance to update their business plan, keep running their business, and get PR status through a nomination from the province.
  • Real estate can be a part of your SINP Entrepreneur investment plan for up to 50% of the total investment.
  • As long as the business meets all requirements and a third-party appraisal determines its fair market value, you can buy an established business from a successful SINP Entrepreneur who has completed their Canadian PR. Successful Canadian permanent residents or citizens can’t do business with new applicants in most provinces. This is good about SINP Entrepreneur.
  • The SINP Entrepreneur stream EOI system allows 50–54-year-olds 10 points. Other provinces only award points to 50–52-year-olds. People over 54 can apply, but they won’t get age bonuses.

3. International Skilled Worker sub-stream with family ties

Saskatchewan has one of the largest and most popular skilled immigration programs in all of Canada, and there are many reasons for this. It has both job offer streams and other sub-streams that let people apply without a job offer if they are in a high-demand occupation and have enough profile points.

This program gives 20 points if you have family in Saskatchewan. Having a parent, brother, sister, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, first cousin, stepfamily, or in-law earns you these points. 20 points could determine whether the SINP invites you to apply for PR. If you have a job offer and family ties, you get 50 extra points, so you’re invited if you meet the minimum requirements.

You can apply with a real job offer or no family ties. If you work in a high-demand field and score enough points on the provincial points grid, you may be invited even without a job or family ties. Pick one. The program is flexible and may be the most popular provincial or skilled immigration program in Canada after the Federal Express Entry system.
