Rotary International Student Peace Fellowships 2023–24: Fully Funded

International and domestic students are welcome to apply for the Rotary Peace Fellowships for International Students (fully funded) 2023–2024. The scholarship is available for Masters-level programs in any subject taught at universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, or Sweden. The scholarship application deadline is May 15, 2024.

Scholarship Overview:

The Rotary Peace Fellowships, which provide fully financed master’s degree scholarships to international students, are currently accepting applications for the 2023–2024 academic year. The purpose of these fellowships is to promote research on peace, prevention, and conflict resolution.

The Rotary Peace Fellowships Program will pay for a variety of expenses, including room and board, transportation both ways, tuition and fees, and any and all costs associated with internships and field research.

Rotary Peace Fellowships are given to up to 150 international students each year. Recipients can continue their studies in the important field of peace and conflict resolution by enrolling in a Master’s degree program or a Professional Development Certificate program.

The Rotary Peace Centers were established in 2002 and have since taught more than 1,400 fellows, many of whom are now in important positions across more than 115 nations. These graduates are actively involved in a wide range of fields, including government, law enforcement, education, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the military, and international institutions like the World Bank and the United Nations.

Rotary Fellowships for Peace

Several esteemed academic institutions across the globe offer them, including the University of Bradford in England, the University of Queensland in Australia, Uppsala University in Sweden, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, Makerere University in Uganda, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the United States.

Note that, except for candidates from Thailand who may choose to attend the center at Chulalongkorn University, fellowship holders are usually not allowed to study at a Rotary Peace Center in their native country.

Concerning Rotary

Paul Harris was the first person to have the idea that would become Rotary. On February 23, 1905, a Chicago attorney established the Rotary Club of Chicago in order to provide a forum in which professionals from a variety of fields could discuss various topics and develop meaningful, long-lasting friendships.

Over the course of its history, Rotary has gradually expanded its scope to include humanitarian work. Members have a proven track record of tackling difficult problems both in their local communities and in other parts of the world.
