New Canada Immigration Stream, Open Work Permit & Faster Temporary Resident Permit
Canada unveils a new immigration route that gives priority to health professionals. Canada has announced new open work permits for candidates in the spouse and family classes.

- Moreover, open work permit extensions for open work permit holders expire between August 1st and the end of 2023.
In the future, the majority of these applications process within 30 days, and applicants will gain access to processing procedures tailored to their situation as spouses or independents. These new tools help to process several applications.

For spouse candidates and their dependant children who live in Canada with their sponsor and have temporary resident status, Canada has made open work permits available. As soon as they submit a comprehensive application for permanent residence under the Spouse or Common Law Partner in Canada Class (SPCLC) or other family class programs, partners and dependents can now apply for and get an open work visa.
Fraser added that open work permit holders, including spousal applicants, who have open work permit expirations between August 1 and December 31, 2023, can extend their work permits for an additional 18 months.
