PNP immigration Results Revealed by Five Canadian Provinces

Five provinces in Canada, including British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, have disclosed the results of their Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) immigration programs.

Provinces have the ability to recommend people for economic immigration through a program known as the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). It is beneficial for a candidate to acquire a nomination from the PNP in order to strengthen their application for permanent residency with the IRCC.

It is possible for individuals to be eligible for multiple PNP paths, depending on the requirements they possess. For instance, the majority of provinces provide pathways for applicants who have already been offered a job in Canada or for those who have recently graduated from overseas schools.

Each province in Canada has the ability to select and nominate a predetermined number of economic immigrants on a yearly basis. This is due to the fact that the IRCC and the provinces share responsibility for immigration in Canada. Provincial administrations are able to select the candidates who are the most compatible with the local labor and economy, and they may implement these candidates with relative ease.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) by Provinces

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is comprised of almost all of Canada’s provinces and territories, with the exception of Nunavut and Quebec. Within the framework of a separate agreement between the federal government and the province of Quebec, the province is granted full authority over the selection of its economic immigrants. Those individuals who are selected by Quebec are still subject to the IRCC’s ultimate decision regarding permanent residency.

The annual Immigration Levels Plan outlines the overarching objective for the population of permanent residents who are admitted to the PNP. In 2024, Canada will admit 110,000 new immigrants under the PNP, and by 2025, the country will take 120,000 immigrants a year. After that, the IRCC distributes these targets across the provinces based on population and the necessities of the economy.
