Scholarship Benefits
The following expenditures will be covered by the NCTU International Student Scholarships 2022 in Taiwan for international students:
For Bachelors Degree:
- Monthly stipend of up to NT$21,000 (US$700) and/or tuition waiver.
For Master Degree:
- Waivers of University Tuition Fees
- Master Students will be offered a monthly stipend of NT$22,000 (US$733) by their advisor for research work.
For PhD Degree:
- Tuition fee exemptions
- PhD students will get a monthly stipend of NT$29,000 (US$966) as well as research assistantship from their advisor.
MOE, MOFA, MOST Scholarship:
The Taiwanese government is providing this scholarship (the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Science and Technology).
MOFA Scholarship:
- Monthly Stipend: NT$30,000 One Economy-Class Round-Trip Ticket
MOE Scholarship:
- Tuition and some fees are waived.
- Recipients are limited to studying at universities that are members of the Taiwan Scholarship Program Union.
- Primarily for grantees from MOE-designated qualifying countries.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following requirements in order to apply for the National Chiao Tung University Scholarship 2022:
- International applicants of any nationality, excluding Taiwanese, are able to apply.
- Applicants must be in good physical and mental health.
- Candidates who have already received a scholarship are ineligible.
- Applicants must accurately, honestly, and completely fill out the application form, as well as submit all needed application materials to the institution.
- Candidates who have completed a high school diploma are eligible to apply for Undergraduate Degree programs.
- Master’s degree applicants must have a bachelor’s degree.
- Students who have completed a master’s degree are eligible to apply for a doctoral degree.
