POSITION: FMCG – Sales Executive

Legendary Foods leads in food technology, developing alternative protein products to meet the protein requirements of West & Central Africa through innovative insect farming.

Based in Ghana, we aim to transform protein consumption and enhance protein accessibility by improving our farming technology, launching new products, and broadening our market reach throughout Africa and beyond.

Role description: Legendary Foods seeks an enthusiastic person to oversee the organization’s sales operations, propel FMCG sales expansion, guide sales strategy, and serve as a business leader within the company.

Responsibilities of the position:

Sales Position 

  • Accountable for creating, implementing, overseeing, and adjusting sales strategy.
  • Evaluate and apply strategies to enhance B2C and B2B sales.
  • Identify novel channels and create distribution strategies for local and global markets.
  • Determine shortcomings or opportunities for enhancement in existing sales channels.
  • Work with business analysts to gather significant sales data for tactical objectives
  • Sets volume and revenue targets to enhance profitability for the

Business

  • Participate in Direct Selling
  • Deliberately pinpointing prospective B2C and B2B customers for expansion.
  • Business accounts from small to large, from starting and finalizing the product sales

  • Generate revenue through lead prospecting, making cold calls, and bargaining for favourable agreements.
  • Organization of Marketing Events & Promotional Activities
  • Developing and conveying product promotions and exclusive sales to clients.
  • Plan and implement carefully designed, focused marketing strategies and marketing efforts to enhance product visibility, client congestion, and purchases.
  • Work together with retailers to enhance product visibility with ideal spots, shelf placements, and signage.
  • Exploring new possibilities by recognizing potential advertising promotions and bargaining agreements

Handle Clients + Client Responses 

  • Meticulously log and note customer grievances, and communicate with relevant internal teams to convey accurate details.
  • Address product or service issues by understanding the customer’s grievance; identifying the source of the issue; choosing and clarifying the optimal resolution to address the issue; quickening resolution or modification; adhering to guarantee resolution.
  • Collaborating with field sales, retailers, and wholesalers to gain insight into product specifications and constraints

Stock Control 

  • Assisting all sales team members to promote growth and advancement.
  • Oversee and engage in inventory management to prevent theft.
  • Oversight, food security, and to enhance profitability
  • Extra tasks as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in active sales within the FMCG sector
  • Experience in managing connections with distributors, wholesalers, and merchants.
  • Client Relations, Customer Loyalty, Market Analysis.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (not at a single moment but across days and weeks),
  • Focus on and handle time efficiently.
  • Focus on customer needs and the capacity to adjust/react to various styles of symbols
  • Demonstrated experience in customer support
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Capability to thrive in a high-energy setting
  • Capability to change direction & adjust, quickly mobilize resources
  • Motivated by outcomes and revenue
  • Should be prepared to relocate and travel to crowded and warm locations.
  • Should have a current driving licence.
  • Strong commitment to honesty
