LAW FIRM URGENTLY REQUIRES JOB APPLICATIONS
Job Title: Law Clerk
Job Role
The primary function of the law clerk at the firm will be to ensure the seamless execution of administrative and legal tasks by assisting lawyers in the performance of their administrative functions and responsibilities to clients.
Responsibilities
- Attend the courts, regulatory bodies and offices in order to execute filings, searches and updates on matters being handled by the firm.
- Keep a diary of tasks to be done and executed and execute office clerical duties as assigned.
- Record time for tasks executed on behalf of the firm and its clients.
- Assist lawyers in the execution of their functions.
- Sort and arrange processes for filing in the various court registries.
- Update the calendars and diaries of lawyers with regard to processes received and filed on behalf of the firm.
- Execute duties as assigned
Skill Set
The successful candidate must have the following skill set and meet the following requirements,
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to convey information to lawyers and superiors in a timely manner
- Attentive to detail
- Ability to proofread processes, documents and letters assigned for filing or delivery
- Good communication and writing skills
- Prudent time management
- Result oriented
- Honesty and trustworthiness
Qualifications
- At least WASSCE/SSCE certificate
- Experience in similar position will be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications will be an added advantage.
