How long should you boil hard eggs?

The yolks of hard-boiled eggs are normally firm. To avoid overcooking and losing out on the protein, you need to boil your eggs for about 7 to 10 minutes. Avoid using fresh eggs if you prefer your egg hard. This is because fresh eggs make it difficult to peel.
