The King Abdulaziz Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship for students who want to pursue their undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees. It caters to a monthly stipend, lodging, health care, and travel expense of the applicant.

King Abdulaziz University has two separate campuses for males and females. This is in accordance with Islamic rules. Successful applicants for the scholarship will be provided with the following:

• First of all, a preparation allowance for those coming for the first time
• Secondly, a monthly allowance
• Thirdly, Students with outstanding results are given a distinction allowance
• Also, graduate allowance of Sr.2700 for shipment of books
• Additionally, offering the successful applicant a two-way airfare ticket each year.
• More so, providing applicants with accommodation
• Moreover, an amount of Sr 4,000 is given to Ph.D. and Sr 3.000 for Masters as allowance for printing their thesis.

Eligibility criteria for undergraduates at King Abdulaziz Scholarship

• The student must conduct themselves in a good manner.
• Applicants must have a secondary school graduation certificate either from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or abroad.
• The student’s secondary school graduation certificate must not be older than 3 years
• Applicants should not be below 17 years or older than 25 years old for the undergraduate level.
• Female applicants should  be escorted by a relative who is within the prohibited degrees with a regular resident
• Students must meet all admission requirements.

Eligibility criteria for master’s and PhD

• Students must be 30 years or below for Master’s, and 35 Years for PhD
• Students must have a good qualification in/her home country with a minimum grade
• Pass the English proficiency test
• Two recommendation letters from his/her previous lecturers
• Students must not have been rejected from any of the Saudi Institutions.
• Candidates for Arabic Language and Literature, Islamic Law and Studies, Sociology, Psychology, and Information Science programs must be professional in spoken and written Arabic language.

Documents required for the scholarship

• Curriculum Vitae for the applicant.
• Statement of Purpose which should be written in English except for programs in Islamic

Studies and Arabic Language.

• A copy of the graduation certificate which will be certified by the Saudi Embassy.
• Also, a copy of the transcript will be certified by the Saudi Embassy.
• In addition to that, letters of recommendation from two lecturers
• A copy of a valid passport for at least one year.
