JOB VACANCY AT DESARROLLO MULTILATERAL (DEM)

Job Title: Trade and Administrative Expert

DEM is looking for a Trade and Administrative Expert to support a donor funded project in Ghana: Provision of Technical Assistance Services to Support the AfCFTA and Continental Economic Integration (TE TAF) through the mobilization of dedicated technical assistance for a period of 22 months in Accra (Ghana).

Activities to be implemented:

• Firstly, Preparation of internal documentation and related to the PMU management,
• Secondly, Launching of the Standard Operations Procedures,
• Thirdly, Active engagement with the stakeholders,
• Moreover, Contribute to the PMU activities,
• Additionally, Create and maintain a strong relationship with the African Union (AfCFTA Secretariat, AUC and some AU Specialized agencies), RECs, AU Member States and other potential continental partners and regional private sector organizations to foster requests or feed the action plans,
• Furthermore, Identify experts and service providers to be involved in the implementation of activities,
• More so, Draft ToRs and recruit expertise for the implementation of activities,
• Afterwards, Provide, when possible, technical assistance, training, and capacity building activity in her/his field of expertise,
• Finally, Contribute to the communication and visibility of the actions.

Requirements:

• To live in Accra (Ghana) for the duration of the contract of 22 months,
• Higher University Degree in International Relations, Trade, Private Sector Development, Economics, Public Policies, Public Administrations or related,
• Experience of at least 10 years working in Africa with trade policy actors related to regional economic integration,
• Proficiency in English at native or C2 level with official certificate or equivalent plus proficiency in other languages (French, Portugues, local languages)
