International Graduate Scholarships from TDTU Vietnam

International students can now apply for the TDTU International Graduate Scholarships in Vietnam. The scholarship covers all disciplines offered at Ton Duc Thang University at the master’s and doctoral levels. The scholarship application deadline is open.

Scholarship Overview:

International students can apply for scholarships at Ton Duc Thang University to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in Vietnam. The scholarship pays for all living expenses and the full cost of tuition. There are options for every major and academic discipline. With more than 23,500 students enrolled, Ton Duc Thang is a public institution situated in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. According to the QS Higher Education Rankings, TDTU came in at 207th place among Asian universities.

Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), a young and aspiring university in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s economic and educational hub, is proud to be committed to Vietnam’s human development and sustainable growth into the 21st century. TDTU is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s educational and economic center. Graduate students have access to a wide variety of opportunities at TDTU, including 18 Master’s programs, 06 National doctorate programs, an International doctorate Program (sandwich program), and Postdoc fellowships.

MASTER’S PROGRAM

• Time frame: 18 to 24 months
• Admission Requirement: Transcript and Bachelor’s degree in an applied relevant subject (please see the list of applicable majors here).
• Language Proficiency in English: One of the teaching languages for the master’s program in English:

1. The following table’s requirements for English proficiency must be met (English certificates must be valid for two years from the date of the exam up until the application date).
2. The master’s program offers Vietnamese as a medium of instruction

Conditions for Graduation

• Finish core and optional courses for a minimum of 35 credits. Finish every course in the curriculum with a final score of at least 3.1 and an average point of more than 5.0;
• Finish every course with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) greater than or equal to 5.5 on a 10-point scale;
• If students enroll in a Vietnamese Master’s degree, they must submit a B2-level Vietnamese language certificate;
• Fulfill the prerequisite English proficiency outcome (application for certificate verification in English);
• A certificate in philosophy needs to be qualified;
• Finish a master’s thesis and present a strong defense of it before a committee;
• At least once took part in the scientific conference “Scientific citation”;
• The tuition payment was finished.

Required Records:

• Application Form (Submission Online)
• A resume or curriculum vitae in TDTU format
• Notarized copies of the transcripts and certificates for the Bachelor’s degree (translated into Vietnamese if the transcripts are in a language other than English, or into English if they are)
• A 500-word statement of purpose in TDTU format
• Certificate of Vietnamese Proficiency CEFR B2 (level 4 over 6)
• Annotated copy of the passport
• Letter of recommendation, if any
• Picture (3 x 4 cm)
• Health check-up report (from the previous six months)
• Candidates who obtained their degree in a language other than English must provide proof of their English language competency.
• Bank assurance (The bank account balance as the bank owner, valid until the application submission deadline, with a minimum balance of $2,500.)
• Criminal history (within the previous six months)
• The commitment form for international students should be submitted straight to the Department of Graduate Studies upon arrival at the Tan Phong campus.

The PhD Program

Time frame: 36 to 48 months

Admission Requirement:

• A Master’s degree and transcript in an applied field that is relevant (please refer to this list of related majors).
• a transcript and a bachelor’s degree in an applicable pertinent major.
• Proficiency in English Language: (Certificates in English language must be valid for two years from the date of the test until the application date.)

Conditions for Graduation

• Finish the PhD program’s coursework;
• Finish a doctoral dissertation and present it persuasively at a university;
• The principal author of a conference paper, book chapter, or national journal article with a score of at least 0.75 points that has been acknowledged by the State Council for Professor Title;
• All publications associated with the doctoral dissertation adhere to the research requirements of TDTU, and the State Council credits the dissertation with a minimum of 4.0 points (in the Engineering – Nature major) or 3.0 points (in the Social-Economic major);
• Send the completed doctoral dissertation to the National Library of Vietnam as well as the library of TDTU;
• Publishes at least 02 WOS/Scopus publications as the primary author;
• Completed the payment of the tuition;
• Took part in the scientific seminar “Scientific citation” at least once (Cohort enrolled prior to 2021 must be eligible);
• Submit a certificate in Vietnamese language (B1 level) (Foreign Ph.D. students enrolled before 2021 are required).

• Verified authentic duplicates of Master’s degree credentials and records (with an English translation provided in case the transcripts are not in English)
• Verified authentic duplicates of Bachelor’s degree credentials and transcripts (with an English translation appended in case the transcripts are not in English)
• Research publications (all papers/files that have been published)
• A 500-word statement of purpose in TDTU format
• Two (2) reference letters (with a minimum of one (1) letter from the advisor of the master’s thesis)
• Passport copy notarized.
• Picture (3 x 4 cm)
• Report on health check-ups (over the previous six months)
• Candidates who obtained their degree in a language other than English must provide proof of their English language competency.
• A bank guarantee (a savings book that is good until the deadline for submitting an application)
• Criminal history (over the previous six months)
• The commitment form for international students should be submitted straight to the Department of Graduate Studies upon arrival at the Tan Phong campus.

Fully Funded Scholarship

This scholarship provides significant financial help by paying for both 50% of the student’s tuition as well as 50% of the student’s monthly living expenses.

Scholarly Research:

This award gives a large financial aid by paying for both fifty percent of the student’s tuition as well as fifty percent of the student’s monthly living expenses. In other words, this scholarship covers the total cost of the student’s education.

Nationalities That Qualify:

Students studying abroad, regardless of their country of origin, are welcome to submit an application for this prize.

Qualification Requirements:

To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship at Ton Duc Thang University, applicants must first be admitted into a master’s or doctoral degree program at the university.

For the main rounds of scholarship selection, do note the following deadlines:

• You have until November 15 of each year to submit your application for the Spring term.
