Government of Ireland Full-Funded Postgraduate Scholarships 2024

Applications are currently being accepted for the fully funded scholarship program that is offered by the Government of Ireland to international students of any nationality who have an interest in furthering their education in Ireland.

The Council is in charge of managing the financial arrangement, which was initially conceived as a project by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Science. The awards will provide financial assistance to candidates for research master’s degrees and doctoral degrees who are now engaged in or intend to engage in full-time research in any field of study.

The Criteria for Eligibility

In order to be considered for participation in the scholarship program that will be offered in 2024, the applicant must demonstrate that they are able to fulfill the following requirements:

• You must be an international student, often known as a foreign student, in order to submit an application to study in Ireland.
• Have an affiliation with a research-performing organization or higher education institution in Ireland that is considered to be eligible.
• Not have had two previous unsuccessful applications to the comparable program, including unsuccessful applications to topics related to strategic partners.
• This holds true despite the fact that the candidate may have altered either their host institution or the subject of their research since their previous application.
• The Irish language or the English language is the only one that will be allowed for applications.

Benefits to Be Granted

The scholarship will have a value of up to a maximum of €28,000 a year in any year that it is approved for, and it will consist of the following provisions:

• a stipend that is equal to €19,000 per year;
• a contribution to fees, including costs for organizations outside the EU, up to a maximum of 5,750 euros per year; and
• an annual amount of qualifying direct research expenses equal to €3,250.

If they are interested in applying for the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship in 2024, prospective applicants should read the call paperwork very carefully in order to determine whether or not they meet the requirements to do so.

The application and supervisor forms are provided, together with indicative versions of those forms, for the sole purpose of providing information. Every participant is required to use the online system to generate and submit their respective forms.
