JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the Radio Station into commercial growth & development and provide leadership quality content for the company
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Includes)
- Plan, organize and direct all aspects of operations in the station.
- Perform oversight role over the Operations, Programming. Sales and Marketing Engineering, People Management among others in the station.
- Lead the team to draw budget for the station and judiciously and prudently implement the budget.
- Lead the team to team to achieve the targets for the station.
- Promote performance culture and discipline at the station
- Responsible for the success and profitability of the station,
- Effectively and efficiently manage the administrative, technical programme and marketing aspects of the station
- Strive to maintain an ambience suitable for work as well as managing personality and financial liability of the business.
- Work with the Line Managers to set targets for all staff in the station, monitoring and evaluating of their performances.
- Work with the Line Managers to identify the training needs of staff and submit your annual training need to the Human Resource Department for the necessary action.
- Any other duties.
QUALIFICATION/SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in a Media setting:
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years at Managerial Level
- Must have strong business, technical and creative acumen
- Must possess core understanding and experience of all that is entailed in Radio Media.
- Excellent knowledge of the mechanics and dynamics of the Radio media industry
- Must be a highly creative individual with good experience in all aspects of Radio media.
- Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office softwares
