Fully Funded Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Postgraduate Scholarship 2024
International Students are welcome to apply for the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Postgraduate Scholarship Program 2024, Thailand (Fully Funded). Students may use the scholarship program to enroll in postgraduate courses at Chulabhorn Graduate Institute.
Description of the scholarship:
The scholarship enables students to enroll in Postgraduate level courses at Chulabhorn Graduate Institute in the areas of Chemical Sciences, Environmental Toxicology, and Environmental Health. The scholarship must be applied for by September 30, 2023.
In Bangkok, Thailand, there is a multidisciplinary post-graduate academic institution called the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI). Offering Master’s degrees in Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology, and Chemical Sciences, it was established in 2005.
The CGI is providing 15 scholarships for foreign students to pursue a Master’s degree at the institute (excluding Thai citizens). The merit-based scholarships pay for tuition, living expenses, and travel expenses.
Those who are interested in applying for the scholarship are required to:
- Have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA and a bachelor’s degree.
- Be an international student (a Thai citizen is an exception).
- Have excellent English.
- Submit an application form that has been fully completed, transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose.

Benefits of the scholarship
Tuition and other academic costs (credit fee, laboratory costs, refresher course, enrollment fee, thesis fee, production of thesis documents), round-trip airfare, visa fee, first settlement allowance, relocation allowance, accommodation, monthly stipend, book allowance, health insurance, and other expenses will all be covered by the scholarship.
Nationalities that qualify:
The recipients of this scholarship may be from other countries.
Eligibility Requirements
Scholarships are available to qualified candidates who fit the following criteria:
- Younger than 30 years old
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75:
- Sciences: Molecular biology, chemistry, biology, and other biological sciences, as well as environmental sciences
- Medical Sciences: Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Medical Technology
- Candidates are encouraged to apply from other connected professions as well.
- Have expertise in doing research in a laboratory setting
- Must have shown English ability on one of two approved language proficiency examinations (TOEFL, IELTS), preferable.
- They must submit a statement of purpose outlining their research interests.

- Additional supporting files to speed up application screening
Application Methodology:
To apply for admission, candidates must deliver all of the necessary paperwork to the Office of Academic Support Division in person or by mail. The application materials need to be submitted by the deadline for each academic year. Only if there are open opportunities will late applications be considered.
- The CGI Application for Graduate Admission (Application Form) in its entirety. For the three study areas—Applied Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Environmental Toxicology—applicants are asked to list their preferences in that order. Based on the Institute’s resources and the applicant’s qualifications, CGI will make every effort to fulfill the applicant’s preference as it relates to the first field of study they have selected in their application.
- Two recommendation letters, a minimum (Form App02)
- Only use the CGI Financial Support Application (Form App03) if you’re requesting financial assistance from CGI.
- One official transcript for each undergraduate and graduate program attended, attested, must be submitted with the application.
- Statement of purpose: Please give us a few examples of proposed statements akin to a graduate study proposal. Be specific in describing the aims and objectives as well as your individual interests. Give the details of why you want to pursue graduate studies in the area you have selected. Any specific scientific difficulties or topics that you would like to address should be specified. If at all possible, please list your long-term career objectives.
- Scores from specified examinations, which testing organizations must send immediately.

- By emailing the email address listed on the application form (Form App01), applicants will be informed of the progress of their applications. The applicant will be notified by mail if an email address is not given.
Assessment of Applications
- The relevant Program Management Committee will assess the admissions application and contact the individuals they have chosen for an interview.
- Those who meet the requirements will get a written offer of admission in the mail. The offer could be unconditional or could include a list of requirements that must be met before it can be issued that way. It is the candidates’ duty to swiftly offer the necessary proof that the terms of the offer have been met in such circumstances. Furthermore, foreign applicants must apply right away for all relevant clearances and a travel permit after receiving an offer of admission.
- Afterward, the candidates should submit a letter to accept the admissions offer and, if applicable, fulfill all the requirements stated in the offer, a confirmation of admission—consisting of a Certificate of Admission and an ED Visa Letter (for non-Thai citizens only)—will be given. When requesting a visa to visit the Kingdom of Thailand, the ED Visa Letter must be provided to the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General.
- The admission confirmation will only be considered legitimate if the candidates are able to start their graduate studies by the designated enrollment date. Only under exceptional circumstances is it possible to enroll beyond the first day of the semester and up until the deadline for adding and dropping courses.
- Lastly, the results of a chest x-ray examination must also be included in a Certificate of Physical and Mental Fitness properly written in English by a licensed physician. Qualified applicants must also present this document. Any medical issues, along with any previous severe illnesses or operations, must be disclosed as well, especially if they might interfere with studies at CGI.
