Fully Funded|| ADB Internship Program 2022

Applications are open for the 2022 ADB Internship Program. International Students, as well as employees across over 60 countries, are invited to apply. Also, there are ADB scholarship opportunities for international students seeking to pursue a Master’s degree program. Undergraduate students should note that they are exempted from this scholarship program.

There are no IELTS requirements. The internship opportunity will take place for about 11 weeks and could extend to 15 weeks. Each year, ADB opens two internship opportunities. This is to enable international students to gain working experience.

Successful interns will work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and have a one-hour launch break. An allowance will be given according to interns’ locations.

Who Qualify For ADB Internship Program 2022

Interested applicants should meet the following requirements to be able to apply

  • Firstly, applicants should be studying for a Master’s- or Ph.D. degree program.
  • Secondly, applicants must be nationals of one of ADB’s members
  • Thirdly, applicants should have an excellent command of English
  • Also, applicants should have professional experience relevant to the assignment.
  • However, ADB does not accept applications from applicants who have close relations with ADB personnel.

Selection Process

  • Applicants should apply through ACES. Here, applicants should prepare for their CVs and answer the essay questions.
  • Secondly, applicants should submit all documents (CV and essay) and upload them to ACES to complete the application.
  • Thirdly, interested applicants should note that applications submitted after the closing date will not be considered.
  • Therefore, applicants are entreated to apply before the closing date this is to avoid errors in submission.
  • Applications will be selected based on:
  1. To begin with, eligibility requirements
  2. Secondly, the relevance of the academic study as well as work experience
  3. Next is the level of interest and
  4. Lastly, motivation to contribute to development work.
  • Most importantly, ADB will consider institutional representation, gender, as well as nationality balance in the overall intern selection process.
