The Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the following positions:

1. ASSISTANT GEOSCIENTISTS

• Conduct geological (field) mapping and collect rock samples for petrographical and geochemical investigations/analysis
• Participate in field research to determine the occurrence and distribution of economic minerals in various part of the country

2. ASSISTANT CERAMIST

• Conduct fieldwork, including sitting, logging and sampling of pits activities to delineate clay-type materials and products
• Assist in the preparation of clay samples, as well as firing and conducting of physical tests

3. ASSISTANT ESTATE OFFICER

• Recommend to Management the allocation of the Authority’s residential buildings to staff
• Assist Management to ensure proper furnishing of offices and residential premises of the Authority.

4. ASSISTANT TRANSPORT OFFICER

• Provide inputs for the management of acquisition, distribution, maintenance, utilisation and disposal of vehicles, vehicle-related and fuel for the Authority
• Collect data for the preparation of fleet management plan, budget. annual and other periodic reports for the Authority

5. DRILLING ENGINEERING TECHNICIANS

• Provide immediate and effective solutions to operational continuity. equipment malfunctions and other on-site problems
• Organise and supervise drilling activities and ensure rig-specific procedures are understood and observed by drilling team(s)

6. LEGAL OFFICER

• Manage the Authority’s Legal Affairs Unit and ensures compliance with statutory legislations and laid down policies
• Liaise with the Office of the Attorney-General and the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources on legal and regulatory issues
