Job Description
We manufacture and distribute fast moving consumer goods such as diapers, sanitary pads, toilet roll, non dairy creamer, biscuits, candies, fish snack (aborbi), beef snack, LED bulbs and tin foods.
Our brands include DELORD’S, MAMYCARE, BALONA, KUMBA, NIGHT ANGEL and WEST SNOW.
Responsibilities
- Maintain system and configuration change documentation
- Maintain inventory and assets of office IT hardware and software, ensuring that they safeguarded
- Prepare, document, and communicate system status with management
- Institute and maintain rigorous and regular back up system for all computers in the office ensuring that all computers are backed up at all times
- Manage the relationship with the internet service provider and ensure high-quality internet connectivity
- Troubleshoot internet connectivity
- Install and manage software, including license compliance
- Remedy all issues relating to malware
- Verify that Microsoft windows and software updates are installed regularly
- Maintain desktops and laptops including the replacement
- Provide IT support to staff
- Maintain network equipment including switches, wireless access points, firewalls
- Monitor and run network diagnostics to ensure that the network is running smoothly
- Maintain network devices including printers and All-in-One copiers
- Configure and maintain servers
- Maintain and regularly test power backup systems (eg. generators, UPSs, battery arrays)
Requirements
- Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position
- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field
- Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage
