Popular Ghanaian comedian, DKB, known in private life as Derrick Kobina Bonney has expressed his unhappiness about Shatta Wale trying to take over the comedy scene.
DKB in a recent video outlined that the dancehall act is “career greedy” because he believes Shatta is taking over the comedy scene as well. Not long ago Shatta Wale released a hilarious video in which he made fun of the fake award victims especially D-Black. He further stated that he had plans to make a full video to tease the celebrities involved in the award saga but Shatta Wale got ahead of him so he had to stop.
DKB appeared to be bitter as he poured out his heart saying that Shatta Wale wants to only artiste trending in Ghana even after enjoying a one-man hype with his collaboration with America’s Beyoncé.The comedian agreed with the fact that Shatta Wale was the dancehall king but DKB was not okay with Shatta venturing into comedy.
He however went on to blast personalities who found themselves in the UN awards chronicles. He gave special attention to Sarkodie and D-Black. According to DKB Sarkodie chose the fake award over the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when he noticed it was from the UN but unfortunately it was “United Nungua”. He further trolled the Highest saying he was holding the award as though he were the grandmother of BET Awards. He made fun of him saying he has 80 awards and one food flask. DKB was taken aback when D-Black fell for this fraudulent award even after Dr UN said he liked his name. In addition, he said that Shatta Wale even revealed that D-Black was willing to buy five of the awards that seemed to be a replica of a feeding bottle. He wondered if the rapper was planning of starting a daycare with all those bottles.
Ending, he cautioned Ghanaians to be vigilant when going for awards. He also added that, they should verify that the organizer of the event wears a suit and not a coat.
