Commonwealth Young Professionals Program (2023)
The Commonwealth Secretariat is happy to receive applications from young people who are motivated and interested in participating in our Young Professionals Programme (YPP), which offers a variety of job possibilities for young people.
Young people from all over the Commonwealth who are gifted and qualified have numerous opportunities to support our core goal by contributing their technical expertise, original ideas, specialized knowledge, and fresh perspectives.

What to Expect from the Commonwealth Young Professionals Program

- ARO (Trade Competitiveness) Assistant Research Officer
- Assistant Research Officer (Secretary-General’s Office)

Each post will require a different application.
The Commonwealth is a voluntary organization with 56 member governments that offers policy advice, technical support, and advisory services to its members. We work with governments to promote inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development.
Eligibility Requirements
The following requirements must be met by applicants to the Commonwealth Young Professionals Programme (Multiple Positions):
- Applicants must be nationals of one of the Commonwealth nations.
- Candidates must be under the age of 27 when applications close.
- You must possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a field that is relevant.
- Applicants must have at least a year of expertise in the design and delivery of initiatives or programs related to development or democracy.
