The komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is currently recruiting Clinical Engineering Manager
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safe and continuous use of clinical equipment
- Investigate and follow-up on recall notices for medical equipment by searching the medical equipment inventory database.
- Ensure Health response rate meets goals set
- Ensure incidents involving medical equipment are reported to and followed-up by biomedical technicians.
- Conduct weekly biomedical planning and training staff meetings.
- Assist the Director of Clinical Engineering and Simulation Center managers to establish required emergency procedures for medical equipment.
- Manage the electrical safety inspection program.
- Set equipment inspection requirements in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Report extraordinary maintenance problems, user errors, deficiencies, failures, user errors, and trends to the Director of Clinical Engineering and Simulation Center Environment of Care (EC)
- Safety Committee as required by the Medical Equipment Management Plan.
- Provide training to UW Health staff in the Medical Equipment Management Plan, inspection methods, review results of inspections, and maintain records as required by authorities having jurisdiction.
- Maintain accurate clinical equipment inventory, analyze and assign appropriate risk criteria to clinical equipment included in the program.
- Periodically review assigned maintenance strategies
REQUIREMENTS
Education Minimum
- Associate Degree in Electronics or other related field
- Preferred Bachelor Degree in related field
Work Experience Minimum
- Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in conjunction with five (5) years experience as a Clinical or Biomedical
- Engineering Technician troubleshooting equipment
