BREAKING NEWS: FY 2024 H 1B CAP INITIAL REGISTRATION

The first registration window for the FY 2024 H-1B Cap opened on March 1st. The fiscal year 2024 H-1B cap began on March 1 at noon Eastern and ended on March 17 at noon Eastern. Prospective litigants and representatives may complete and present their registrations during this time. This was done, however, using the online H-1B registration system.
A myUSCIS online account was necessary for prospective H-1B cap-system respondents or their agents to use. This account served the purpose of registering each beneficiary electronically for the selection process. Additionally, they had to pay the $10 H-1B registration fee that was related to each registration that was made on behalf of each beneficiary.
Prospective petitioners submitting their registrations
Registrants can create new accounts after 21 February at noon Eastern. Clients may be added to representatives’ accounts at any moment. However, both representatives and registrants were expected to wait until March 1. This is when they could enter beneficiary information and submit the registration with the $10 fee.
Multiple beneficiary registrations could be submitted online at once by potential petitioners or their representatives. Before making the final payment and submitting each registration, registrants could also create, amend, and keep draft registrations.
According to the authorities, receiving enough registrations by March 17 will call for random select registrations. Through the users’ myUSCIS online accounts, these registrations will get selection notifications.
In contrast, receiving few registrations means all registrations properly submitted in the initial registration period selected. Additionally, they intend to notify account holders latest by March 31.
The daily transaction limit for credit cards cap temporarily increased with approval from the US Department. This increased from $24,999.99 to $39.999.99 per day for the FY H-1B cap season. This temporary rise happened due to the quantity of previous H-1B registrations exceeding the daily credit card limit.
Only a petitioner may submit an H-1B cap-subject petition, notably a petition for a beneficiary who qualifies for the advanced degree exemption. A petitioner whose registration for the beneficiary named in the H-1B petition selects in the H-1B registration process.
