Australia Government Direct Aid Program

DAP programs span a variety of fields, including human rights, environmental preservation, women’s empowerment, and water and sanitation. They also address issues including gender equality, education, and the prevention of violent extremism.

DAP is offered on a non-profit basis to people, community organizations, and national or international NGOs working on development projects in nations that qualify for official development aid (ODA). Ghana, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, and Togo applicants are invited. Funding is distributed in a very competitive environment.

As part of a partnership, applications may be submitted by people or organizations on behalf of an NGO or other implementing organization. In this situation, the applying organization is in charge of managing and disbursing DAP monies. The implementing organization must take part in the application’s preparation and be reachable in order to confirm that the funds are being requested on their behalf.

Opportunities for Professions at the Australian High Commission

At the Australian High Commission in Ghana, there are two types of employees that fall under different categories. Diplomats and locally engaged staff are included in this group.

What is the Australian NGO Cooperation Program?

The Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) is a special grant program that offers money to recognized international development NGOs with Australian bases to support their activities in underdeveloped nations.

The Australian Government’s longest-running and largest NGO initiative, the ANCP was established in 1974.
