Accounts Officer at Blue Financial Services Ghana Limited
A Finance House licensed by the Bank of Ghana under the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016, (Act 930) and with over eleven (11) years of operational experience in underwriting consumer loans and deposits is looking to hire qualified people to join our team of committed and competent people.
Job Purpose
Provide administrative support for the Finance Department by doing clerical tasks like processing and recording transactions, making reports and budget inputs, banking cash, coordinating with customers and vendors, managing stock, and taking on other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Helping to prepare statutory accounts;
- Working with purchases ledgers and journals;
- Recording and filling cash transactions;
- Managing petty cash;
- Processing and filing invoices;
- Handling expense requests;
- Reconciling bank and creditor accounts;
- Managing the asset register;
- Communicating with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers;
- Filing and maintaining transaction documentation;
- Helping with audits, record verification, and resolving discrepancies.
Skills and Experience
- A professional accounting qualification will be a plus.
- Must have worked in a similar job for at least two years.
- Previous experience with relevant accounting software is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Know how to use Pastel or a similar accounting program;
- Know how to use Microsoft Spreadsheet;
- Know how to do bookkeeping;
- Be good with numbers and solving problems; Careful and focused on details
