Job Vacancy For Teaching Assistants
Akim State University College has Vacancy for Teaching Assistants to assist in one or two courses under any of the following programmes:
- BSc Accounting
- BSC Banking & Finance
- BSc Human Resource Management 4. BSc Marketing
- BSc Computer Science 6. BSc Electrical/Electronic Engineering
THE APPOINTMENT could be full-time or part-time. On part-time, the Lecturer will teach on only Saturdays or Sundays.
Responsibilities:
- Firstly, Working with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule.
- Secondly, Assisting teachers with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
- Thirdly, Revising lesson material with students individually or in small groups.
- Moreover, Ensuring the classroom environment is safe and clean.
- Additionally, Overseeing students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on-field excursions.
- Then, Collaborating with lead teachers to recognize issues students are facing and recommend solutions.
- Also, Documenting student progress and communicating with parents to keep them informed.
- Furthermore, Helping lead teachers to create lesson plans.
- Afterwards, Complying with state, school, and class rules and regulations.
- Finally, Attending all training classes, parent conferences, and faculty meetings.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be an MPhil holders
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a teaching assistant or similar role.
- Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices.
- Must have a compassionate and positive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.
