The management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has introduced the 2022 first-time period vacation date for basic schools. Consistent with GES, the primary time period vacation date for basic schools commence on April 7, 2022.
The primary time period of the 2022 instructional 12 months which commenced on January 18, 2022, will end April 7 for basic school students to have a break with educational activities.
Commending teachers for their huge contribution to the education sector, GES said “management of GES sends its complements to all staff and wishes to thank them for their unflinching support in implementing education policies.”
Signed by the Deputy Director-General, the directive given “as the 1st term period comes to a near for basic schools – KG, Primary and Junior high schools, the service needs to remind all heads of the calendar for 2022 academic yr.
According to the GES announcement, dated March 22, 2022, the second term period of the 2022 instructional year will start on May 10, 2022, to August 11, 2022, and the third term period from September 13, 2022, to December 15, 2022.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) suggests 7:00 am to two:00 pm, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm and 8:00 am to a few extra contact hours for basic schools stated they are dependent on the precise occasions of the community.
“By this letter, Regional Directors of Education are to communicate to all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of Education to ensure that Heads of Basic Schools take note and implement accordingly,” GES referred to on Tuesday.
