A reputable Financial Institution seeks to hire young HND / Diploma graduates to work as Deposit Officers across the country.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collects deposits from the field on behalf of the institution.
- Make a daily payment of the money collected from the field
- Check the daily collection to ensure that all transactions have been well entered
- Generate new savings accounts for the branch in accordance with branch targets
- Encourage clients to build up savings balances in accordance with branch targets
- Signing on new clients and helping them through the onboarding process.
- Managing client bank accounts, including opening and closing accounts, and overseeing transactions.
- Processing deposits, payments, and withdrawals.
- Authorizing and evaluating overdrafts and loans.
- Handling other transactions, such as writing cashier checks or money orders, when necessary.
- Recommending and explaining banking services and products to clients based on their needs.
- Presenting and cross-selling banking services and products to existing and prospective clients.
- Collaborating with other banking professionals to ensure high-quality client service.
- Resolving client queries and complaints.
- Performing administrative and clerical duties, such as data entry and filing, when necessary.
Requirements
- HND or Diploma
- Two (2) years relevant work experience in microfinance/banking environment
- Must be customer-focused
- Ability to deliver Results
- Good oral communication and written communication skills
- Must have good marketing skills
